Full-time (25-40) hours per week. Senior Pastor according to 1 Timothy 3:1-7. A leader to teach and communicate effectively with people of diverse age groups, education levels, cultural, and spiritual backgrounds. This position requires someone who can undertake challenges and practice problem-solving in a collaborative and professional manner, with a willingness to establish key leadership roles, and delegate responsibilities within the congregation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Core Leader in counseling, liaising, and mentoring as needed.
- Devoted to ardent prayer and diligent study of the word for the purpose of personal spiritual growth and effective ministry.
- Evangelism and outreach: keenness to provide ideas for expansion of the Kingdom of God.
- Work in unity with board members and church leaders, conduct regular meetings, delegate leadership roles, plan church projects or events, and resolve matters of the church.
- Progress, cultivate, and connect the vision and ministry approach of future church plans with the congregation.
- Be passionate about the study and devotion of God’s word as the principal preacher. Teach the scripture with clarity and non-eloquent jargon to connect with diverse levels of spiritual maturity.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Basic Education and Pastoral Credentials in good standing with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada
- In-depth Theological understanding
- 2-3 years experience as a Lead Pastor (preferred but not mandatory)
- Irreprehensible moral conduct, as in Titus 1:7
- Education or training in Counselling and Social Development
- Knowledgeable in Canadian and International cultures, laws, and human rights
- Experience working with a multicultural and multilingual group
