We are a Licensed Childcare Centre and part of the ministry of Christian Life Fellowship. Originally started in 1993 by a small group of church members, we have grown dramatically since then. We provide care for over 145 children per day ages 1 – 12. We strive to provide safe, nurturing care so that children feel valued and families feel supported. We are seeking ECE’s both Part Time & Full Time who hold a valid license to practice in BC, to join our team of nearly 40 Educators. As an inclusive Centre we also provide care and resources for children who require additional support to attend in a group setting. We value teamwork, strong communication, observation and classroom management skills, all while modeling faith to the children in our care.
Duties:
- Work within a team setting to provide safe, nurturing, appropriate care and learning opportunities
- Support children in moving through childcare routines and learning opportunities using positive guidance strategies and inclusive universal supports
- Plan within the staff team to promote growth and development of the children in the program by implementing curriculum that is age appropriate
- Maintain appropriate health and safety requirements to meet licensing requirements
- Be confident in leading circle times, art activities, baking/cooking, gross motor activities and in leading Bible related activities
- Support children’s development socially, emotionally, physically, and cognitively
- Engage or lead facilitated and unfacilitated play both indoors and outdoors
- Be committed to following and engaging in the BC Early Learning Framework and Christian Life Children’s Centre Staff policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Hold a valid License to Practice as an Early Childhood Educator in the province of BC
- Experience in mentoring Early Childhood Educator students
- Hold a valid Emergency Child Care First Aid & CPR/AED certificate
- Must successfully pass a Criminal Record Check through the Criminal Record Review Program
- Class 2 license or be willing to obtain it preferred (training and license upgrade costs are provided)
Starting Wage range and benefits:
- $23.34-25.30/hr. PLUS the current Wage Enhancement or bus driver top up (if applicable) depending on qualifications and experience
