Recapping the All Together Intercultural Summit

On November 4th,  Lower Mainland churches from all over our District gathered for an evening of worship, encouragement, and fellowship. “All Together” took place at Seaview Assembly in White Rock. With an attendance that ranged in the 120s, representing various cultural groups from BCYD churches, the evening was highlighted by a deep sense of unity as we sang together in multiple languages and heard beautiful testimonies and insights about how God heals, delivers, and operates through each of our cultural worldviews.

One of the main highlights was to hear the healing story of Pr. Jim Cayetano, from Abbotsford Celebration Christian Fellowship. He shared how God sustained him through his kidney transplant, providing for a donor in a timely manner and strengthening him during his recovery. The fellowship time was as lively as the worship service, as everyone was treated to a full dinner featuring dishes from different countries.

The event could not have happened without the valued effort of our planning team, volunteers from different churches, and a team of OMEGA students from Summit Pacific. The teamwork experience was living proof that when we are sincerely in one accord, we can accomplish great things.

We look forward to more events and opportunities to display our beautiful cultural diversity in our District Network. Amid the demographic shift that our country is experiencing, we are certainly happy about the opportunities to embrace, affirm, and empower all cultural groups to contribute to the advancement of God’s kingdom in our Pentecostal family.
