This summer, Bethel Christian Centre will be celebrating 100 years of God’s faithfulness to His kingdom’s growth in the Nelson area through Bethel.
Pastor Eggleton came to Nelson in 1924 to begin official services, and over the previous century, the church grew from a few individuals empowered by the Holy Spirit into one of the longer-lasting evangelical works in the West Kootenays. Having moved buildings four times, Bethel has enjoyed being a part of the fabric of the community for many years in various capacities.
We will be hosting a centennial celebration on August 9 – 11, 2024. This will include:
• A Gala dinner on Friday evening, which will highlight historical moments from the past century.
• A Community connection day on Saturday with Bouncy Castle and a ‘fair’ style event with community BBQ
The celebration weekend will wrap up on Sunday morning, as we expectantly look forward to God’s future plans and purposes in and through our community during the worship service.
We are inviting those who have been involved in Bethel’s history to attend if possible. Please reach out for potential billeting.
