Salary: $53,000 – $62,000 depending on qualifications

About The Associate Pastor – Next Generation Focus
The focus of this position would be twofold. The primary focus would be to provide pastoral leadership to our children’s ministry, and to develop a pre-teen ministry that will eventually become a youth ministry at Redemption Church. This role would also maintain general pastoral duties that contribute to the life of the church in its current state and future direction.

In this Role you Will:

• Vision, Plan and Execute the Annual Children’s, Pre-Teen and Youth Ministry Plan.
• Develop and update a curriculum that best fits the Spiritual Formation needs of Redemption Children’s, Pre-teen and Youth Ministry.
• Lead, Manage, Schedule and Train Sunday School Teachers and Youth/Pre-teen Volunteers
• Provide resources for Sunday School Teachers, Volunteer and Parents.
• Create opportunities for children to be involved in weekend services.
• Liaise, connect, and build rapport with Parents on a regular basis.
• Proactively search opportunities to serve the Neighbourhood through Outreach, Strategic Partnerships and networking with local ministries.
• Create and manage the Children’s Ministry and Pre-Teen Budget.
• Assist the Senior Pastor in providing pastoral care to individuals and families.
• Maintain General Pastoral Responsibilities (we are open to exploring other areas of responsibilities not listed):
  • Preaching and Teaching.
  • Involvement in Musical Worship.
  • Facilitating, leading, or taking part in other church programming (Alpha, Life Groups, Prayer Ministry, Bible Studies, Kits Cares, etc.).
  • Hosting services (Leader/Facilitator of Weekly Sunday Services).

Experience, Education, Skills, And Passions

• Experience: Church or Ministry-Related 2+ years.
• Education: Minimum or equivalent of an undergraduate degree in a Ministry-related discipline.
