Connections Pastor Overview
The Preface
Oceanside Community Church is looking for a full-time Connections Pastor. Oceanside is a revitalized church in beautiful Parksville, BC (Vancouver Island) that has more than quadrupled in size over the last five years and continues to grow. As such, we have transitioned over a few short years from a solo pastorate with a single service to a multi-staff and multi-service setup. Watch a brief version of our story here. Our existing ministry team consists of five pastors (three full-time), an admin assistant, and an unpaid ministry volunteer.
Please browse our website and read our vision, mission, and core values in order to better understand who we are, who God is calling us to be, and whether you might be a good fit.
The Position
In a nutshell, the Connections Pastor will be the primary catalyst to creatively and intentionally connect people in and to the life of the church in a myriad of ways. The Connections Pastor will provide oversight to three main ministries: welcome & hospitality, administration & support to the lead pastors, and community outreach. Other key areas of contribution will depend on the candidate’s gifts and our future hiring. Please ask for a detailed job description for more info.

We are looking for a person deeply devoted to Jesus, His Church, and His welcoming and hospitable heart. The candidate should be highly relational and administratively gifted.
